Let's go see a flick.

Easily destined to become my most prolific area on the site for my banterings, the movies have captivated me for as long as I can recall. My father and I used to watch movies together on Sunday afternoons down in the family room. It was during these lazy days spent on a couch that I was introduced to luminaries of the screen such as Bogart, Hepburn, Tracy, Grant, The Marx Brothers, you name it. Ahh, they truly do not make 'em like they used to... and I'll take that one with me to the grave. I'll warn you, I am extremely harsh on movies anymore and it takes a lot to impress me in the realm of filmdom. The typical Hollywood formulaic flick with its overpaid, talentless "actors" who can do nothing more but read cue cards will take only slight less heat than the sh*t pies that count entirely on computer generated fodder to drive the plot because the writer and director can't come up with anything exciting in reality. Are the great storytellers of the silver screen completely gone and forgotten?!?
