Thank you, Kansas City! We are Thunderpuss!!!

I sure have. Lots of times. I’ll be in the middle of a conversation with friends and will either drop a silly descriptor or overhear a line that just sounds ridiculous and my mind takes over, whisking me to a daydream.

I’ll suddenly find myself in a dimly lit expanse, shoulder-to-shoulder with hundreds – maybe even thousands – of fellow concert goers. If there were seats I’d probably be in the ninth or tenth row with a pristine view. There is a growing excitement in the air as the “musicians” we have all banded together to see slowly make their way out onto the stage. The din of the crowd turns into a raucous and thunderous applause as we hear the lead singer shout:

“Thank you, Kansas City! We are (insert ridiculous band name)!!!!!”

I come out of my ten second daydream via laughter and then share with the group my oft-repeated line: “Now there’s a good name for a rock band.”
